Vion sells foodservice arm to Group of Butchers
Vion Meals Group is promoting its foodservice division to Dutch meat-processing peer Group of Butchers,
In an announcement, Vion, which has been promoting property in Germany, mentioned the deal marks the “last main step” in its exit from the market.
Vion mentioned yesterday (15 June) it had reached “a principal industrial settlement” with Group of Butchers. The monetary phrases of the transaction weren’t disclosed.
The deal covers Vion Meals Service Holding, Salomon FoodWorld and associated subsidiaries, together with manufacturing websites within the German cities of Großostheim and Holzwickede.
The enterprise provides frozen beef, pork and hen merchandise to foodservice clients. Round 650 workers work on the division, Vion mentioned.
