Title: Amanda Bathory
Age: 44
From: Auburndale, Mass.

I’m lacing up for the 2025 Boston Marathon, marking my fourth consecutive 12 months working for Dana-Farber. This race is deeply private. I grew up on this course, and each mile is a tribute to my mother, who misplaced her battle with lung most cancers at simply 55.

But it surely’s extra than simply working for her. It’s for everybody touched by most cancers’s merciless hand. It’s for the worry that lives inside me, the worry I struggle with each stride. And most significantly, it’s for my two youngsters, to allow them to develop up in a world the place the phrase “most cancers” now not holds such energy.

Be a part of me in supporting Dana-Farber and their unbelievable work to make that world a actuality.
