Dodgers’ Max Muncy injured in violent collision at first base – NBC Los Angeles
Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Ildemaro Vargas and Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy each left Thursday’s recreation following a violent collision at first base.
Muncy hit a ball up the road within the fifth inning and Vargas, seeing pitcher Ryne Nelson would not get to the bag in time, charged towards first. Muncy beat him to the bag, however the gamers collided and flew into the air and landed with a thud.
Each gamers lay on the sector for a number of minutes whereas trainers labored on them in a hushed stadium.
Muncy bought to his ft first and slowly headed to the dugout. Vargas bought up with assist and walked throughout the diamond to his dugout.
Vargas was changed by Pavin Smith at first and Muncy was changed by pinch runner Santiago Espinal.
