Andrew Jenkins to depart Common Music Publishing Group after almost 20 years
Andrew Jenkins, President of Australia and the Asia Pacific Area at Common Music Publishing Group (UMPG), is leaving the corporate.
Jenkins introduced his exit on Monday (June 1); he’ll formally depart the corporate on July 1.
His departure ends a tenure of almost 20 years at UMPG, the place he oversaw the corporate’s publishing operations and artistic groups throughout the area.
Jenkins started his profession at PolyGram within the UK in 1981, later serving as Normal Supervisor and Senior Director of Polydor Information.
He joined BMG Music Publishing Worldwide as Vice President in 1993 and was promoted to President in 2005.
Following UMPG‘s acquisition of BMG Music Publishing in 2006, he continued in senior management roles working with songwriters, artists, managers and business companions throughout a spread of genres and markets.
Jenkins labored with, helped to signal, or oversaw relationships with artists and songwriters together with the Bee Gees, The Treatment, Alanis Morissette, Tom Waits, Robert Plant and Van Morrison.
