Investigators are attempting to trace down an individual who made a number of calls a couple of campus capturing at Santa Monica Excessive Faculty, Santa Monica Police mentioned Tuesday.

Authorities mentioned the caller started reaching out to the Santa Monice Police Division at round 11:10 a.m., making threats of a possible capturing on the college.

Officers responded to the varsity instantly and put the varsity on a lockdown, forcing college students and employees to shelter in place.

After looking out the campus, police decided the threats to be unfounded and lifted the shelter-in-place order at round 11:54 a.m..

As the varsity resumed regular operations, officers may have a visual presence on campus for assist, police mentioned.

“Threats involving faculties are taken critically, and people chargeable for making false or threatening experiences can be held accountable,” Santa Monica police mentioned in a joint assertion with the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified Faculty District.

Nobody was injured through the incident.
