Police Alternate Gunfire With Man Allegedly Armed With Rifle; No Accidents – NBC Los Angeles

A person armed with a rifle exchanged gunfire with police Sunday in Boyle Heights, authorities stated.
Officers have been dispatched at about 12:25 a.m. Sunday to a name of a person with a rifle firing rounds within the 300 block of North Myers Avenue, close to Mission Street and the Hollywood (101) Freeway, in response to the Los Angeles
Police Division.
“Officers encountered a suspect, at which era there was an officer-involved capturing,” police stated. “The suspect fled and a big perimeter was established.”
A Okay-9 unit and SWAT staff have been dispatched to the situation to go looking throughout the perimeter. Police later stated a number of people” have been detained throughout the perimeter and investigators have been trying to find out their involvement within the incident.
No officers have been injured.
