Man allegedly wielding a shotgun arrested after pursuit in Huntington Seaside – NBC Los Angeles

A person allegedly armed with a shotgun was arrested Wednesday following an early morning pursuit in Huntington Seaside.
Two officers tried to cease a suspicious automobile throughout a nocturnal patrol round 12:15 a.m. within the space of Huntington and Important Avenue. A pursuit ensued after the suspected driver refused to cease.
The pursuit ended shortly on the intersection of Adams Avenue and Important Avenue after a solo collision.
The person exited the automobile with a shotgun and discharged the weapon as he tried to flee, in keeping with the Huntington Seaside Police Division. Officers stopped the foot pursuit and arrange a containment perimeter.
After a coordinated strategy from regulation enforcement, the suspected driver was positioned and brought into custody. A firearm was recovered on the scene.
The suspected driver was recognized as 33-year-old Anh Tran.
Tran was booked into Huntington Seaside Police Division Jail on suspicion of assault with a firearm on an officer, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm with a earlier conviction, possession of a firearm with out a serial quantity, possession of ammunition by a felon, possession of a managed substance with a loaded firearm, possession of a managed substance with out a prescription, possession of a tough drug with two prior convictions, obstructing an officer, and evading an officer.
No officers or neighborhood members had been injured.
