FAA abruptly nixes 10-day El Paso airspace closure
The Federal Aviation Administration abruptly nixed the 10-day airspace closure issued for El Paso, Texas, asserting Wednesday that it had been eliminated fewer than eight hours after it was introduced.
“The short-term closure of airspace over El Paso has been lifted,” the FAA wrote on X shortly earlier than 7 a.m. El Paso time. “There is no such thing as a menace to business aviation. All flights will resume as regular.”

The company had cited “particular safety causes” for limiting flights over the border metropolis — and all flights into and out of its airport — as of 11:30 p.m. native time Tuesday.
