Engine flames drive Delta flight to make emergency touchdown at LAX – NBC Los Angeles
A Delta Air Strains flight certain for Atlanta made an emergency touchdown Friday at LAX after a reported engine hearth, officers stated.
The Boeing 767 airplane engine caught hearth shorly after takeoff round 2 p.m. Video from the bottom captured the flames popping out from one of many engines.
The flight landed safely after returning to the LAX runway.
The FAA is investigating the incident, in keeping with Delta Air Strains.
The reason for the fireplace remains to be unclear.
