Cyberattack disrupts check-in methods at main European airports – NBC Los Angeles
A cyberattack concentrating on check-in and boarding methods has snarled air visitors and induced delays at a few of Europe’s prime airports, officers stated Saturday.
The Brussels airport says the assault implies that solely guide check-in and boarding was potential there, and the incident was having a “massive influence” on flight schedules.
“There was a cyberattack on Friday night time 19 September towards the service supplier for the check-in and boarding methods affecting a number of European airports together with Brussels Airport,” it stated in an announcement.
Authorities at Berlin’s Brandenburg Airport stated a service supplier for passenger dealing with methods was attacked on Friday night, prompting airport operators to chop off connections to the methods.
London Heathrow Airport, Europe’s busiest, stated “a technical concern” affected a service supplier for check-in and boarding methods.
“Collins Aerospace, which offers check-in and boarding methods for a number of airways throughout a number of airports globally, is experiencing a technical concern which will trigger delays for departing passengers,” Heathrow stated in an announcement.
