‘Buddy, you’re going to remorse this’: RI Particular Assistant AG charged with trespassing – Boston Information, Climate, Sports activities
Police physique cam footage reveals a Particular Assistant Legal professional Normal in Rhode Island asking police in Newport to show off their physique cameras throughout an incident Thursday night time.
The video reveals a Newport police officer arriving at a restaurant on Banisters Wharf and confronting Particular Assistant Legal professional Normal Devon Flanagan.
Newport police say they have been referred to as to the world for a report of a buyer refusing to depart.
The officer tells Flanagan and one other girl they’re trespassing, resulting in a confrontation.
Flanagan refused to depart and was charged with trespassing. On her method to the police cruiser she says repeatedly, “I’m an AG, I’m an AG…”
A spokesperson for the Legal professional Normal’s Workplace says Flanagan has been with the workplace for seven years.
She’s at present assigned to the Appellate Unit of the felony division.
As Flanagan is put at the back of the police cruiser, she offers the officer a warning, saying “Buddy, you’re going to remorse this. You’re going to remorse it.”
