Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson’s Ex-Husband, Useless at 48

Family and friends are mourning the lack of Brandon Blackstock. 

The expertise supervisor—who was married to Kelly Clarkson for nearly 10 years earlier than their 2022 divorce—has died after a yearslong battle with most cancers, his rep confirmed in a press release to NBC Information. He was 48. 

“It’s with nice disappointment that we share the information that Brandon Blackstock has handed away,” the August 7 assertion learn. “Brandon bravely battled most cancers for greater than three years. He handed away peacefully and was surrounded by household.”

Brandon’s rep continued, “We thanks to your ideas and prayers and ask everybody to respect the household’s privateness throughout this very tough time.”

Simply someday earlier, Kelly—who shared youngsters River Rose, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 8, with Brandon—shared he’d been unwell, and cancelled her remaining Las Vegas reveals accordingly. 

“Sadly, I have to postpone the rest of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” the American Idol alum wrote on Instagram Aug. 6. “Whereas I usually maintain my private life personal, this previous 12 months, my kids’s father has been unwell and at this second, I should be absolutely current for them.”
