Canadiens signal goalie Jacob Fowler to entry-level contract
Jacob Fowler is beginning his skilled profession.
The Montreal Canadiens have signed the goaltender to a three-year, entry-level contract, which is about to start subsequent season, as confirmed by Sportsnet’s Eric Engels. The deal was first reported by Jimmy Murphy of The Sick Podcast.
The 20-year-old shall be becoming a member of the Canadiens’ AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket, for the rest of this season on an newbie tryout.
Fowler, from Melbourne, Fla., was chosen by the Canadiens within the third spherical (69th total) of the 2023 NHL Draft.
He spent the previous two seasons enjoying for Boston Faculty within the NCAA. Throughout 35 video games in 2023-24, Fowler recorded a 25-7-2 report, a 1.63 goals-against common, and a .940 save share.
