Man arrested in theft of canine at Burbank grocery retailer – NBC Los Angeles

A canine was returned to its proprietor after Burbank police arrested a person suspected of stealing the animal at a Burbank grocery retailer.

Burbank police responded Wednesday afternoon to the enterprise within the 3700 block of West Burbank Boulevard relating to a reported theft. Retailer staff reported that the 42-year-old suspect tried to steal meat from the shop, however staff recovered the merchandise.

A short while later, the identical man allegedly grabbed a buyer’s small canine from a purchasing cart and left the shop. Officers discovered the person at a close-by bus cease with the canine, which was returned to the proprietor.

The suspect was arrested and booked on suspicion of grand theft and petty theft.
