A four-year-old boy is recovering after falling from a second-story window Thursday in Worcester, authorities mentioned. 

The Worcester Police Division mentioned they responded to a house on Southold Street at 5 p.m. after receiving a name that the boy had fallen out of a second-floor window. 

First responders transported the boy to a neighborhood hospital. As of Friday, Worcester Sgt. Elise Miranda mentioned that the boy is in steady situation with “bumps and bruises.” 

“It seems he will likely be OK,” Miranda mentioned. 

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
