Brush fireplace slows visitors on 5 Freeway in Castaic – NBC Los Angeles
Visitors on the 5 Freeway slowed Monday afternoon on account of a brush fireplace burning within the Castaic space.
The small fireplace reported at about 2:30 p.m. was on a hillside lined in dry, brown brush close to the 5 Freeway at Lake Hughes Highway. At the very least one water-dropping helicopter was making runs on the hearth because it climbed towards a neighborhood.
Particulars about how the hearth began weren’t instantly out there.
Northbound visitors backed up as a result of flames.
