Off-duty brokers, being mistaken for ICE, confronted in Lynwood – NBC Los Angeles
Deputies needed to step in to disperse a crowd exterior a Lynwood restaurant after the group confronted off-duty federal brokers Wednesday night, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Division (LASD) instructed NBC4 Investigates.
The LASD officers responded to a Korean restaurant at round 6 p.m. after receiving a name in regards to the off-duty TSA brokers being surrounded by a big crowd.
The brokers instructed deputies that they have been consuming dinner inside a Korean restaurant after they have been confronted by folks, who thought the federal officers have been from Immigrant and Customs Enforcement, the sheriff’s division stated.
When deputies arrived, they noticed about 20 folks exterior the restaurant, yelling the brokers go dwelling.
After the TSA brokers left the world safely, the deputies have been capable of disperse the crown with none concern inside half-hour or so, the sheriff’s division added.
It was not instantly clear why the gang by way of the off-duty brokers work for ICE.
Nobody was injured or arrested from the incident.
