Two males died when a crane collapsed at a worksite in Everett.

“Our hearts exit to each victims, each younger males, could they relaxation in everlasting peace,” Everett Mayor Carlo DeMaria stated on the website of the tragedy Friday.

The unidentified males have been working as subcontractors at a jobsite on the Rover Avenue marine dock in Everett when a crane collapsed. The location is the previous Exxon terminal on the Mystic River.

The incident is below investigation by the Everett Police Division, the Massachusetts State Police and the Workplace of the Chief Medical Examiner.

“We’re devastated to study that two people employed by a subcontractor have died following a horrific accident at one in every of our job websites,” Robert Delhome, the CEO of Constitution Contracting, which managed the positioning, wrote in a press release. “We’re actively coordinating with all related public security officers to grasp why and the way this occurred. We’re grateful for the short response from the police and EMS, and prolong our deepest sympathies to anybody affected by this tragedy.”

DeMaria wrote in a ready assertion that the Everett “neighborhood mourns alongside all these affected by this tragedy.”
