Lacking boater sought at Vt. reservoir – NBC Boston

A person is lacking after taking his boat onto Somerset Reservoir in Vermont, in line with police.

David Maynard, a 74-year-old Wilmington man, was reported lacking Monday night after not coming back from the reservoir, Vermont State Police mentioned. His automobile and his empty trailer have been discovered close to the boat launch.

Police and fireplace crews searched the water and surrounding space Monday evening and Tuesday, however they didn’t discover Maynard or his boat.

The search will resume Wednesday, police mentioned.

Authorities mentioned Maynard has a 14-foot Jon boat with a blue and white hull, a 20-30 HP engine and a black trawling motor on the entrance.
