WBZ staff provided buyouts, outstanding reporters go away

Longtime reporters Mallika Marshall and Beth Germano are departing WBZ-TV, in accordance with experiences.

The union didn’t reply to a request for remark Friday. 

On Thursday, the Federal Communications Fee cleared the best way for Paramount and Skydance Media to finish its long-gestating, $8 billion merger. Paramount is the mother or father firm of CBS, which owns WBZ. 

“I gotta imagine it has one thing to do with the merger,” Fletcher Fischer, the enterprise supervisor and monetary secretary for the union, informed the Globe.
